This sculptor, who made architectural elements out of a variety of materials, had his own workshop in Barcelona, first under the name of Germans Juyol, then after 1901, Alfons Juyol.
He reproduced models designed by sculptors such as E. Arnau, made models for smiths such as M. Ballarín and E. Andorrà, metal workers, ceramicists and furniture makers, and models of façades and of the ornamental items that went on them.
He worked with many of the leading architects of the time, including L. Domènech i Montaner, J. Puig i Cadafalch, J. Domènech i Estapà, J. Azemar and S. Viñals. He also helped L. Escaler by selling the latter's articles in his workshop.
He sculpted the capitals on Casa Amatller (1898-1900; Passeig de Gràcia, 41) and the fireplace in Fonda Espanya (1901; Sant Pau, 9-11), together with another sculptor, E. Arnau. He also did the stonework on many of the decorative elements on the façade of Casa Lleó Morera (1905; Passeig de Gràcia, 35), and the sculptures on the letterbox of Casa de l'Ardiaca (The Archdeacon's House, Santa Llúcia, 1; now the City of Barcelona Historical Archive) when it was renovated by L. Domènech i Montaner in 1902.
