Societat Torres Grau was a company formed by two brothers, Jaume and Raimon Torres, both architects, and their father, a builder, and so it designed and constructed buildings, mainly residential. All the plans were signed by Jaume on behalf of the firm, while his brother Raimon acted as manager. Its production can be regarded as belonging to the Modernista aesthetic due to the formal solutions and the ornamentation it employed.
In Barcelona, two buildings in Carrer d'Aribau, 178 and 180 (1905-1908) and Cases Ramos (1906; Plaça de Lesseps, 30, 31 and 32) were constructed by the company.
