Bonaventura Conill (© AHCAC)

He studied at the Barcelona School of Architecture and qualified as an architect in 1898. He was a good friend of the architect A. Gaudí and this relationship can be seen in the influence Gaudí had on him. He also worked with the architect A. Calvet i Peyronill in constructing the Vallvidrera Funicular (1905; Avinguda de Vallvidrera, 66 - Queralt, 20).

He was the municipal architect of Horta and around 1903 designed many burial vaults displaying a fully Modernista aesthetic in the Lloret de Mar Cemetery (Camí del Repòs - Carretera de Blanes), circa 1903.

He also worked as an illustrator, contributing to the magazine Cu-cut!.
