Coll i Fort, Antoni

Barcelona 1871 - 1958

1 Architect

He qualified as an architect in Barcelona in 1897. While still a student he took part in the 1888 Universal Exhibition where he was awarded a bronze medal. He worked in Barcelona, but mostly in El Ripollès. His Modernista works include Casa Pàmies (1917; Sant Quintí, Ribes de Freser) and Casa Vila, the former telephone building (València, 28, Camprodon), and the house of doctor Carles Puig (1903; Major, 12, Campdevànol), which originally had a Modernista-style curve at the crown that disappeared during subsequent alterations.
